The Idealist Manifesto

The Artist's Tao

You, Me and Morrissey

"Morrissey Ruined My Life" Live Painting Event February 3, 2007 Workspace Limited Gallery San Francisco, California

"This Charming Man:
Pretend you’re in Manchester, throw on your blackest brood-pop garb, and indulge your angsty inner adolescent at artist Sean Starr’s Morrissey Ruined My Life show.  Peruse the abstract expressionist paintings that make up Starr’s aptly named Morrissey series, and watch the artist whip up a brand-new masterpiece – live – as The Smiths’ and Morrissey’s solo music brays in the background.  Starr is a self-professed “romantic failure”, yet a successful artist who credits Moz as his biggest personal and professional inspiration.  Yikes."
~ San Francisco Magazine February 2007
